ICD-10-PCS COURSE
Course Description

Decoding ICD-10-PCS is a comprehensive self-paced on-line course developed by an expert certified ICD-10-CM/PCS trainer to provide an introduction to ICD-10-PCS procedural coding system. ICD-10-PCS has replaced ICD-9-CM Volume 3. ICD-10-PCS is required for reporting inpatient procedures beginning October 1, 2015.

The material is presented in a manner as to “de-code” ICD-10-PCS to gain a better understanding of how to “construct” a procedure code. ICD-10-PCS procedure codes are all 7 digits and each character level has a specific unique meaning and requirement. There is greater emphasis towards the end of the course on learning the root operation component of an ICD-10-PCS code. A code book is not required to take this course since PDF links have been inserted to view the necessary tables needed to assign a code.

The course concludes with a 100-question final self-assessment test to assess your practical knowledge of the skills reviewed.
